Abstract
Since the 21st century, cultural memory media has undergone significant transfor-mations due to the digital media and technology. The evolution of media technology has pr-oduced profound effects influences on the storage, dissemination and expression of cultural memory. In this paper, Zygmunt Bauman’s theory of “liquid modernity” serves as an ideolog-ical framework for studying the transmutation of cultural memory reproduction form. The met-averse technology presents unprecedented opportunities for reproducing cultural memory but also poses challenges in terms of storage and dissemination. Liquid distribution of power, c-ommunication context, and content significance provide a historical backdrop for understandi-ng the transmutation of cultural memory reproduction form.
