https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/335

Telling a good Chinese story and enhancing the dissemination, cohesion, and influence of Chinese culture is an important direction to show China's cultural soft power, and an important issue to build a strong cultural country. Utilizing documentaries to creatively transform traditional Chinese culture and incorporate it into the dissemination of Chinese stories and Chinese discourse is conducive to the realization of "high-quality going out" of Chinese culture. This paper selects the documentary "I Repair Cultural Relics in the Forbidden City" released by CCTV on the overseas video platform YouTube as the research object and analyzes the cross-cultural communication strategy of this documentary on YouTube based on the SPEAKING theory under the method of communicative ethnography. It is found that the following points are usually more important to realize the success of Chinese culture "borrowing ship to go to the sea" using documentary communication: firstly, documentaries need to make use of overseas media platforms to carry out multimodal cross-interaction, turn abstract concepts of Chinese culture into visualization, and promote audiences' understanding and recognition of Chinese culture utilizing colorful expressions; secondly, to build a cultural network to promote the understanding and recognition of Chinese culture; and secondly, to build a cultural network to promote the understanding and recognition of Chinese culture using multimodal interaction. First, documentaries need to make use of overseas media platforms to engage in multimodal cross-interaction, turn abstract concepts of Chinese culture into figurative ones, and promote audiences' understanding of Chinese culture colorfully; second, they need to build a space of common cultural meanings, and use commonplace contents such as human fires to trigger the resonance of the overseas audience; and third, they need to merge the dialectical thinking of globalization and localization, and tell the story of China in international language. The in-depth study of documentaries on overseas video platforms in this paper is conducive to providing experience and reference for the production of future documentaries and has certain reference value for documentaries to better present a comprehensive and authentic Chinese culture to the world.
Liyan Zhang

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/336

Traditional Chinese performing arts, with their profound history and rich cultural heritage, constitute an important part of China's intangible cultural heritage. The emergence of short videos has expanded the space for the performance and inheritance of traditional arts, facilitated the construction of cultural communication rituals, and reshaped the atmosphere of cultural exchanges. This provides a new pathway for the dissemination of traditional Chinese performing arts, which are centered on "rap and sing" performances. By analyzing the dissemination of the world's largest traditional Chinese performing arts exchange conference, "Majie Shuhui," on the Douyin platform, this paper reveals limited creative forces and a lack of innovation in dissemination content, resulting in insufficient overall dissemination effectiveness. Therefore, based on a comprehensive consideration of the characteristics of short videos and the dissemination of traditional Chinese performing arts, it is believed that the dissemination effect of short videos on traditional Chinese performing arts can be further enhanced through three aspects: incubating high-quality personal IPs, optimizing video quality, and tapping into emotional values.
Qi Wang

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/343

Confronted with significant challenges in procuring foreign scientific and technological literature resources due to a global science and technology blockade, professional libraries are facing severe limitations imposed by the United States on China. These export control measures have severely hampered domestic scientific research institutions and universities from accessing foreign scientific and technological documents, thereby impeding China's progress in the field of scientific and technological innovation. To effectively address this predicament and enhance the ability to secure resources of foreign language scientific and technological literature, professional libraries should focus on the following five aspects: Firstly, diversify funding sources while expanding channels for procuring foreign periodicals; Secondly, increase procurement of English-language scientific and technological literature from non-American countries while organizing and categorizing these materials; Thirdly, strengthen access to non-English language scientific journals; Fourthly, promote collaborative construction and sharing of scientific and technological documents; Fifthly, develop localized versions of foreign digital resources. Ultimately, it is emphasized that bolstering one's own capabilities is key to overcoming barriers in accessing scientific and technological literature. Therefore, China should prioritize national-level development of digital academic platforms.
Li XiangPeng Lv

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/345

This study examines whispered interpreting (WI), where interpreters translate spoken language in real-time at a soft volume. It underscores the Working Memory Model’s (WMM) utility in such tasks, which demand intense cognitive effort. A practical example from the 2023 China-ASEAN Expo showcases the model’s mechanisms enhancing interpreting efficiency. The phonological loop processes verbal information, the visuo-spatial sketchpad handles visual cues, and the episodic buffer consolidates complex data. Managed by the central executive, these elements collectively lighten the cognitive load and boost performance. The paper reveals WMM’s untapped potential, advocating for deeper investigation into its application in WI.
Hailun WangYing Wang

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/346

According to the data published by the International Maritime Organization, over 80% of maritime accidents are caused by human factors, and problems arising from intercultural communication among seafarers from different countries account for a large proportion of them. Multiple studies have shown that improving seafarers’ intercultural communication skills is important to ensure the safety of shipping transportation. Enhancing the intercultural communication ability of maritime students is not only the requirement of IMO conventions, but also the need for students to find jobs and to improve themselves. Through the revision of the STCW Convention, maritime institutions should strengthen the cultivation of students' intercultural communication ability in the aspects of curriculum construction and environment creation, so that the graduates can meet the requirements of the convention for competency. Shipping companies should also value the diversity of seafarers and strive to create more inclusive workplaces and living environments to maximize the potential of each seafarer.
Xiaoyan Lyu

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/347

Classroom teaching is a key link in achieving talent cultivation goals. It is a necessary process to enhance students' professional knowledge and job competency. In the process of classroom teaching, teachers should arrange the content and process of teaching and training reasonably based on the differences in students, knowledge, and skills, research and explore effective classroom teaching and training models, and effectively improve the quality of classroom teaching and training. There are many factors that can improve the quality of classroom teaching, and one of the most important ones is how to guide students to follow the teacher's ideas and maintain their enthusiasm for learning. During classroom listening or training, one can engage in active thinking, interaction, and communication with the teaching teacher. In order to better improve the quality of classroom teaching and training, adapt to the new requirements of teaching and training in the new era, a "dual teacher" classroom teaching and training model is adopted for the same classroom. The main lecturer is responsible for imparting and teaching the main knowledge and skills. During the teaching process of the main lecturer, the auxiliary lecturer acts as a dual identity of both the teacher and the student in the classroom. At key teaching stages and knowledge points, they timely guide students to learn and think through various means, so that students can deepen their understanding and mastery of knowledge and skills.
Jianqiang LiuHonglin LiuWenjun Zhang

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/352

Flexible teaching is essentially a new strategy for teaching "stability and change". The characteristic of traditional linear thinking is diachronicity, while the characteristic of flexible thinking is synchronicity without specific restrictions.Teaching allows students to understand the natural order of the development and evolution of things from the seemingly chaotic and complex phenomena, gain insight into the next step forward, identify potential unknown needs and develop students' thinking, and then foresee changes and automatically cope with changes. This is the essence of flexible teaching innovation.

Flexible teaching is marked by "humanization" and emphasizes jumps and changes, speed and response, sensitivity and flexibility. Flexible teaching does not mean no principles. It complements and complements institutional teaching. Teaching requires harmony, and harmony is inseparable from flexible teaching and institutional teaching. Grasping the scale of teaching and flexibility in teaching is the art of teaching.
Jingjing ChenDan Wang

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/380

The method of Dot Moss on the mountain surface was gradually revealed in the Five Dynasties and the early Song Dynasty, and Guan Tong in the north and Dong Yuan in the south doubled the pen and ink language of Dot Moss. However, in the Song and Yuan Dynasties, there was no systematic discussion and summary of Dot Moss, and the understanding of Dot Moss only included it in the ink system. The concept of "spot moss" appeared only after the Yuan Dynasty, so that some scholars mistakenly thought that it was the peak period of spot moss development after the Yuan Dynasty. As a symbol in the mountains and waters, the lack of its text can also reveal the development of schools and social tendencies at that time. Some scholars regard "spot moss" as a kind of "symbolic" language in painting. Semiotics originated from Saussure linguistics, and then different scholars defined it differently. If we regard spot moss as a symbol in the mountains and waters to explore the relationship between its theory and techniques, we need to clarify the development and definition of the symbol first, and then explore its role in the traditional mountains and waters of China with semiotics methodology.
Meng Yuan

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/388

Co-operation between schools and enterprises and integration of industry and education are the only vocational education for quality enhancement, value-added and quality-oriented education. In the new era, vocational colleges should build an“Upgraded version” of the cooperation between colleges and enterprises, continue to promote the deep integration of industry and education, and build a community of the fate of colleges and enterprises, the only way to build high-level vocational colleges with world-level and Chinese characteristics.
Quan JiangHongliang Lin

https://scien-publishing.com/index.php/asder/article/view/396

This study explored the relationship between anxiety and sleep and the mediating role of rumination among Uyghur high school students in Kashgar, Xinjiang, using anxiety level as the independent variable, sleep status as the dependent variable, and rumination thinking as the mediating variable. The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), the Ruminative Responses Scale (RRS), and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Inventory (PSQI) were used to assess the anxiety level, ruminant thinking, and sleep status of a total of 561 students in three high schools in Yecheng County, Kashgar, Xinjiang. There were 155 participants (27.63%) with sleep quality problems; there was a significant positive correlation between anxiety level and sleep status (t = 0.59,P < 0.01), a significant positive correlation between anxiety level and ruminative thinking (t = 0.61,P < 0.01), and a significant positive correlation between ruminative thinking and sleep status (t = 0.62, P < 0.01). Mediated effects analysis revealed direct and indirect effects of anxiety level on sleep status. The direct effect accounted for 46.14% of the total effect and the indirect effect through rumination accounted for 53.86% of the total effect.Anxiety levels play a significant predictive role for sleep status; ruminative thinking partially mediates the relationship between anxiety and sleep. These findings help to improve students' sleep status by reducing anxiety levels and ruminant thinking levels.
Xujie HuangHuixia ZhouXiangyang Zhang
